Irstablixten follows the directives stated by SHF (Swedish Handball Federation) in
Tävlingsbestämmelser för barn- och ungdom.
For the tourrnament 2027 this means match times and rules as described below.
The matches are divided in 2 halves with one minute pause. No change of side.

The teams are divided into groups of 4-5 teams. In exception it might also be groups with 3 teams where the teams meet each other twice.
Group stage Friday-Saturday. Play off Sunday.
1:st and 2:nd teams in each group proceed to A Play off. The others to B Play off.
Arena for the A finals
All A finals are held in Expandia Arena A and is broadcast and commented via webb-TV.
Prizes
Both teams in the A and B finals are awarded individual medals (max 15/team). The winning team is also awarded a team prize (a cup).
Player of the game is awarded in the A finals.
Loan of players
Loan of players between teams in the same class is not allowed. If required it is however possible to borrow players from younger teams.
U11-U09
No Play off and no results are published on the webb or elsewhere.
Loan of players
A player might be loaned from another team in the same club and class in order to register more teams instead of having a lot of substitutes. Loan is allowed so the team has up to two substitutes in each match and a maximum of two players might be loaned each match. The loaned players should be altered each match.
Note! We strongly request the leaders to respect this rule and thus not loan the same players each match and limit the loans to max 2 players.
Prizes
All players are awarded a medal.
U11-U10
U11, U10F: 6 outfielders plus keeper. Lowered bar on standard court.
U10K: 5 outfielders plus keeper. Lowered bar on short (26 x 20 meters) court.
The teams are divided into groups of 4-6 teams. New groups with 3 or 4 teams are compiled for the Sunday games where each team plays 2 matches.
U09
U09K: 5 outfielders plus keeper. Lowered bar on short (26 x 20 meters) court.
U09M: Small courts. 4 outfielders plus keeper.
Each team is guaranteed at least 6 matches.
The rules are adapted to the recommendations for small court handball described in the SHF (Swedish Handball Federation) document Regler för minihandboll.
Note! U09 have all matches on Saturday and Sunday and we offer a dedicated participation card covering one night accomodation in school and meals from Saturday lunch. If any team prefer a match on Friday, please send a mail to spelprogram@irstablixten.se.
